Sarah Alpha Watton was the daughter of John and Jennie Watton, and the granddaughter of Rebecca [Walker] and John Tryer, who are pictured in the 1800s section of the Walker Tour. Sarah was born August 31, 1861, and died in May of 1950. She's buried at Lowell Cemetery in Lowell (Henry County), Iowa. She married Abner Edward Thornburg January 26, 1882 and they had eight children. Her photo is provided courtesy of her great granddaughter, Beverly (De Long) Whitaker. |
