Holding the flowers for the camera, Wilda and Marjorie are probably responsible for the arrangement made up by which Shirley Broeker posed in an earlier shot in this sequence. If this photo was from summer of 1939, which I believe it was, Shirley's mother Ruth [Walker] Broeker had died the previous March, and she was probably staying with Clifford and Marguerite Walker's family (Wilda's parents) at that time.
