Sam and Betty Walker from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, are visiting Verona Walker in New London in this photograph. Verona's parents were Oscar B. and Edith V. [Baxter] Dotson; Sam was the son of Samuel Nathaniel Walker and Hattie Mae [Moyers] Walker, and Betty was the daughter of Alexander Howie Hatt and Elizabeth Ellen "Lizzie" Tice (the Tice family apparently had Amish roots and lived in Kalona, Iowa). |
