Sam Walker

More info:   Sam Walker

Sam seems sophisticated here and far away from his farming roots. In fact, of all the sons of Samuel Nathaniel Walker, only one continued the family tradition of farming, [Albert] Ross. Samuel Clinton and Bill Walker ended up living and working in the Cedar Rapids area, Paul tried many hats on, including working for the circus, Clifford ran several businesses in New London, George worked for the Burlington Railroad and lived in New London and West Burlington, Robert moved to Texas and lived in Victoria, and John didn't return from World War II.

Ruth was the only daughter of Samuel Nathaniel's that went into farming, too, as she married Wally Broeker who farmed in Louisa County.

Both Ruth and Ross, the only two who continued with farming, died when they quite young, during the 1930s.
