I determined this apparently is Paul Walker after comparing it to other photographs that are contemporary to it. Previously I thought it was Sam Walker. Paul appears to be about the same age or a bit older than he was in the July, 1929 photograph with the other Walker men and boys. The license plate on the automobile behind Paul is from county "39," which is Guthrie County, a fact which can be determined as Iowa used to number the counties on all license plates in alphabetical order. There is no known family connection to that county, however. |
