Leota Walker Goes to the Dogs

Photo Date: 1935-1936

Leota Walker and the Dog Bath?

Lunch Time

More info:   Leota [Walker] Brumm

At first glance it seems these dogs will be getting a bath, but after studying this photograph I wasn't so sure. The watering trough the two unenthusiastic puppies are in may be the mode of conveyence of the family; it seems to be sitting on a toy car with a steering wheel. In the second photo bath or not, the dogs are participating in one of their favorite pastimes: lunch.

Another photograph in this time period (but not taken in the warmth of summer) features Beverly Broeker with one of the same dogs shown in this family of pets (the mother, I believe); I don't know whether these photogenic hounds were from Sam Walker's or Wally and Ruth Broeker's, or somebody else's canine collection.
