John Walker and Unknown Woman

It is unknown who is John's friend in this photograph. Camp Pendleton is in Northern San Diego County; it was created as a training center for World War II and never closed. Today it is a marine base.

John was sent to Europe only several months before he disappeared and was declared Missing in Action in November, 1944.
