More info: James G. Walker |
James G. Walker was the youngest son of Charles Pearsey Walker. He was a veteran of World War I, a dubious "Hillbillie" poet (some of his poetry is posted in Walker Trails), and later in life was a police officer in Winfield, Iowa. Based upon the blown-up photograph of the car's license plate, it seems this was a car registered in county 29: Des Moines County. It's unknown if the auto belonged to James (though it likely did) - from documents stored on this site it seems James lived in Crawfordsville in 1922 and Winfield in 1933, both towns in Henry County, Iowa (#44 on license plates). James was born January 19, 1887 and died September 1973 in Mt. Pleasant, Henry County, Iowa. |
