William David Walker ("Bill") was the youngest of Samuel N. and Hattie Mae Walker's eleven children. After graduation from Wapello High School he remained in Louisa County for awhile. Bill married Margaret Lesher before a stint the army during World War II. He was sent overseas in January, 1945. He and Margaret settled in Marion Iowa, where they raised two sons, Gary and Steve. |
