(Many, if not all, of the blurry photos you will see throughout the 60's sequence were taken by me. I did not have a steady hand. Photoshop and the miracle of modern computing does help some, but I wish I'd been better at it when I was a child.) This is Vera Walker, also called "Jake." Vera is the daughter of George and Verona [Dotson] Walker. She grew up in New London, Iowa, and presently lives in Mount Pleasant, Iowa with her husband of many years, J. W. Virden. |
