Possibly Captain R. Watters

In a letter dated December 3, 1862, (which can be read here), Charles Pearsey Walker mentions he is sending "Captain R. Watters" back with his letter, which most likely meant a photo of said Captain.

This could be that photograph.

Patrick Pearsey, related to the Walkers Charles Pearsey Walker's mother, submitted the following information about Captain Waters:

"The following came from on-line information on Civil War muster rolls, at Ancestry.com I feel this is the same man as Captain R. Watters.

to Full Capt on 24 July 1863
