Tommy Umphrey was Maude Mae [Walker] and Geoffrey Paul Umphrey's son. He was born September 29, 1922 in Iowa, and died December 10, 1996 in Michigan. Tommy's father died in 1931. In 1932 his mother Maude married Roy Fortner, and soon afterwards the family moved to Winterset, Iowa for a time before eventually settling in Michigan. |
