Helen [Collingwood] Umphrey

Helen Collingwood was the daughter of George and Margie Loretta [Allen] Collingwood. They lived next door to an extended family of Iowa immigrants in the late 1930s/early 1940s, which began when Thelma and Lloyd Allen moved to Detroit, Michigan. Helen married one member of this family, Thomas Umphrey, the son of Maude Mae [Walker] and Geoffrey Paul Umphrey, and she and Tommy had two daughters, Sandy and Carol. Tom died late in 1996; Helen still resides in Michigan. |
