Elizabeth McFarland [Fox] Sampson

Born October 21, 1837, Elizabeth McFarland Fox was the daughter of Nathaniel and Kitturah Fox. She was born in Athens County, Ohio, but while young, the Fox family moved to New London township, Iowa, and became farmers north of New London. They eventually continued the tradition of moving west, by 1867 settling in Nebraska, where they still lived in 1875-1876 when Kitturah wrote several letters to Elizabeth from New London (these are available in the Paperwork section of this web site, beginning here).
