An Unknown Dog in John Russell's Car

Approximate Photo Date: 1920-1930

An Unknown Dog in John Russell's Car

More info:   John Franklin Russell

Marjorie Kimble, who provided this photograph, believes it is a dog sitting in an old car that was owned by John Russell.

Dogs evidently adapted quickly to the so-called "horseless carriages," and by the 1920s were quite content to travel along with their caretakers wherever they might choose to drive!

The flat horizon of Iowa is quite evident in the background.
