This photograph has been identified using an educated guess. It appears to be John Russell on the plow with the team of horses; Flossie [Walker] Russell certainly appears to be behind him wearing a straw hat. Barely visible, a young man next to her is likely Byron Ernst, a foster child John and Flossie raised. Byron later married Clara Elizabeth Walker, the daughter of Charles Francis Walker and Jessie D. Vaughn. They resided in Fort Dodge. |
