Granville R. Rexroat |
Granville R. Rexroat was the younger brother of James M. Rexroat, and the brother-in-law of James' wife, Susannah Jane [Moyers] Rexroat. The parents of these men were Peter Rexroat and Morning (sometimes spelled Mourning) [Hopper] Rexroat. James and Granville were two of at least six children in the family. Granville was born in Kentucky, later moved to Morgan County, Illinois and Des Moines County, Iowa, and finally settled in Scotland Township of McDonough County, Illinois. In September, 1865 married Mary A. Baldock, a native of Casey County, Kentucky, and they had ten (known) children. |
