More info:   Nathaniel Fox

Nathaniel Fox was the father of Ruth Ellen Fox, who married Charles Pearsey Walker on the Fourth of July, 1868. In perspective, he was Samuel Nathaniel Walker's grandfather, Maude, Myrtle, Marjorie Walker's (et. al.) great grandfather, and my own (Dennis Brumm's) great great grandfather.

Nathaniel was born in Virginia June 1, 1805; he married Kitturah McFarland, a native of Ohio, on September 21, 1829. Between 1838 and 1840 they moved to Henry County, Iowa, where they owned a farm north of the town of New London. They apparently lived on the farm until their later years when Nathaniel rented the farm out to friends or relatives and he and Kitturah moved into town.

Nathaniel and Kitturah had at least ten children; Ruth Ellen was the youngest.

Nathaniel died September 3, 1887 in Nebraska and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood, Cass County, Nebraska. It is theorized he may have been visiting his daughter, Elizabeth [Fox] Sampson, at the time.
