Myrtle and Ted Dotson, married December 02, 1922, spent the years from 1958 until they died in a small house on Cottage Grove street in West Burlington, Iowa. As was the case with many of the Walker women in her generation and those that preceded her, Myrtle was adept at handiwork - embroidery, crocheting, and so forth. After my mother, her sister Leota Brumm, died, Myrtle finished an afghan that my mom had begun but not finished. I have it today in my cedar chest (which was my mom's cedar chest...). |
