In 1969 my dad and I visited the Walkers who were still living in Colorado. I saw Marguerite and Cliff only one time after that, in 1976, when I took a trip to Colorado Springs from friends I was visiting in Boulder. Doris and her companion Marian owned a cabin up in the mountains, which is about the only place I evidently took any pictures during the trip (unfortunately the Instamatic wasn't all that great). I remember how very chilly it got at the elevation, but it was a wonderful spot, peaceful and serene, and the sunset was something beautiful. |
