Dennis Brumm Visiting San Francisco

More info:   Dennis Brumm

In May, 1977, I came to San Francisco, California for a visit. I moved here one year later, arriving at 1 a.m. on May 17, 1978, in case anyone is interested.

There are no bugs in San Francisco. Well, cockroaches if you're unlucky, fleas if you don't use the modern marvels of science that eliminate them, and maybe a few flies, though they do not bother anybody nor land on you nor swarm around your head. Oh, there are no gnats.

There are no hot, high humidity days in San Francisco. There are hardly any hot, low humidity days.

There is no snow in San Francisco. They said it snowed in December of 1999 but it didn't. It slushed. Some sort of slush came down for about five minutes and the locals, some of whom have never experienced real weather, believed it was snowing.

I like it here, even though we do have geological disturbances.
