Pearl Alfred and Jessie Mae [Swan] Moyers

Pearl Moyers was the son of George Washington Earl Moyers and his wife, Rebecca Ellen [Pence] Moyers. Pearl was born in Iowa, went with his parents to Kansas for about four years and attended school there, then returned to Iowa where he lived the remainder of his life. He lived in Des Moines County early in his life and later, with his wife, Jessie, lived in Morning Sun in Louisa County.

Pearl married Jessie Mae Swan March 1, 1898 at her home in Wapello. This photograph no doubt celebrates their wedding anniversary; perhaps their 40th in 1938.
