The following links are to images which were (almost all) photographs scanned and posted in the Walker Tour; they have been turned into digital paintings, if you will. I am by no means the best artist, but this is just for fun.
I use a program called Painter to render these images; I begin simply with the photograph you can see in most instances when you click on the "portrait" or "painting." Painter attempts to create digital art that mimics traditional art materials, and it does a fair job.
In order to do this sort of digital artwork, it is imperative also to have a "Pen Mouse" and tablet. Mine is by no means top of the line but it would be impossible to get the effects using Painter without this accessory. I have it in addition to a trackball mouse on my computer.
