Text of Hattie Mae Moyers' Obituary:

(Unknown Paper, probably Morning Sun or Wapello, Iowa, probably about April 10, 1918)

Mrs. S. N. Walker

Mrs. S. N. Walker died at her home south of Wapello, Sunday, April 7th. Her last illness was of short duration and death came as a severe shock to the family and friends.

Hattie May [sic: Mae], daughter of George W. and Rebecca Moyers, was born July 18, 1876, at Burlington, Iowa, and departed this life April 7, 1918. October 25, 1893, she was married to Samuel N. Walker, and to them were born eleven children, all of whom are living and, with the exception of a son, George, who went to Camp Dodge in the last draft contingent, and is now confined in the base hospital there, all of them were with her through her last illness and death.

The children are Elsie E., who has been in Missouri; George P., of Camp Dodge, Mrs. Maude Umphrey of Davenport, Ross, Clifford, Myrtle, Paul, Samuel, Leota, Ruth and William at home. Besides these, the husband, her parents who reside in Mediapolis, an aged grandfather in Burlington, three brothers and three sisters survive.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home, and interment was made in the Elmwood cemetery at Morning Sun.
