Text on Max Dotson's Funeral Remembrance:

The Funeral was in Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa

LEONARD MAX DOTSON
A father now has gone to rest--
His wife must shed a silent tear--
His parents, too, will mourn, I know
And in their hearts is awful fear.
However, each will follow on
o meet where ev'ry day is fair--
God's promises are always true
And heaven's shores are void of care;
So let us dry our tear stained eyes
And think of joys in heaven's land
Where each of us shall go some day
In answer to our God's command.
