Dorothy M. Moyers
Dorothy M. Moyers, 71, of Burlington, Iowa passed away Sunday afternoon June 28, 1970 in the Mercy hospital, Iowa City, Iowa. She had been a patient in the hospital for four weeks.
The daughter of Tom and Cora Congrove Baird, she was born Jan. 9, 1899 at Newport, Iowa. On Sept. 20, 1919 she married Earl Moyers at Newport. Mrs. Moyers was an employee of the J. S. Schramm Co. for the past 20 years as a seamstress. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Wendell Moyers, Burlington, Iowa and Mrs. Phyllis White, Wilmette, Ill.; seven grandchildren; one brother and seven sisters: Mr. Max Baird, La Mesa, Calif., Mrs. Mildred Pogemiller, Wapello, Ia., Mrs. Hallie Mattson, Everleth, Mn., and Mrs. Freda Wilson, Mrs. Opal Nichols, Mrs. Myrtle Hamilton, Mrs. Wilma Bryant, and Mrs. Jean Griffin, [and] one Aunt, Mrs. Serilda Baird, all of Morning Sun.
Funeral services will be at the Methodist church in Morning Sun, with burial in the Elmwood cemetery at Morning Sun.
