Sheila Ferguson, a 1967 graduate of Mediapolis High School, married Laverne Junior Kilbride, in Mediapolis. They had two children, Lilly Ann Kilbride, who was born in Burlington, and Joseph James Kilbride.
Sheila then married Joseph Austin Gorsuch, the son of John Wesley Gorsuch and Adelaide Virginia Ragen, in Azusa, Los Angeles County. Joseph was born on September 14, 1947 in Covina, Los Angeles County, California. He and Sheila had one child, Christy Danel; also, John Gorsuch adopted Lilly Ann and Joseph James Kilbride from Sheila's marriage to Joseph Kilbride.
Lilly Ann Kilbride was born in Burlington. She married Robert Michael Williamson Sr. in Tucson, Pima County, Arizona. He was the son of Richard Albert Williamson and Mary Teresa Taron, and was a native of Tucson. Lilly and Robert Taron had three children: Britney Marie, Nicholas Austin, and Robert Michael, all of whom were born in Tucson, Arizona.
Hope Darlene Ferguson was born in Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa. Hope married Howard Ray Kilbride of Knox City, Knox County, Missouri, in Memphis, Scotland County, Missouri. They had three children:
Gina Marie Kilbride, who had a child, then later married Tod Randolph Riherd, the son of William Mayer Riherd and Peggy Ann Carpenter, in Tucson, Arizona. Tod was born in Burlington, Iowa. They had two children, Anthony Louis Riherd, born in Tucson, and Patrick James Riherd, born in Burlington.
Carol Ann Kilbride, who was born in Iowa City, Iowa. She is the wife of Craig Alan Lofthus. Craig is the son of Harlan Gene Lofthus and Oral Beverly Nord. He was born in Drayton, Pembina County, North Dakota. Craig and Carol live in West Burlington and they have two children, Cal Michael Lofthus and Jacob Alan Lofthus, both born in Burlington. Additionally they are raising Craig's son Joshua Allen Lofthus and daughter Amanda Marie Lofthus.
Michael Ray Kilbride was born in Burlington. He married Shannon Suzanne Drew, who was born in Burlington, the daughter of Wayne Dennis Drew and Mary Sheila Lietsch. They have two children, Chadley Michael Kilbride and Riley Kilbride.
Hope Ferguson Kilbride next married Dale Vernon Jennett in Morning Sun. He was the son of Earl Vernon Jennett and Ruth Marie Bowers.
Eileen Faith Ferguson was born in Burlington. She married Steven Linn Roberts in Burlington, and they have two children, a daughter, and Teri Roberts. Both children were born in the city of Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.
Joy Lynn Ferguson was born in Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa. She is a 1970 graduate of Mediapolis High School. She married Edward Eugene Conwell Sr., the son of Edward Bell Conwell Jr. and Edith Marie Brown, in Logan, Cache County, Utah. Ed was born in Kansas City, Missouri.
Joy and Ed live in Salem, Iowa. Their children were raised in Mount Pleasant; for a time after their children were grown they lived in Atlantic, in Cass County, Iowa.
They had two children, Kathleen Joy Conwell and Edward Eugene, "Ed" Conwell, who was born in Mount Pleasant, and lives in Omaha.
Kathleen Joy Conwell was born on June 6, 1975 in Mount Pleasant, and died on October 25, 1996 in Mount Pleasant at age 21. She was buried on October 29, 1996 in Forest Home Cemetery in Henry County. The cause of her death was brain cancer.
A 1993 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, Kathy also was a 1995 graduate in floral design from Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was a senior in communications and public relations at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, when she was diagnosed with cancer on July 29, 1996. She underwent two extensive surgeries and chemotherapy, but these did not have the hoped for affect.
Her accomplishments during her life include involvement with the Exploring Program in the Trapper Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America, in Ogden. She was a member of Lambda Delta Sigma Sorority, Kappa Tau Chapter, and Phi Beta Theta National Honor Fraternity, Weber State Institute Chorus and Public Relations Council, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had served as the visiting teacher coordinator of Weber State Institute Sixth Ward and as a staff member of Nauvoo (Illinois) Stake Young Women's Camp.
She also won and awards which include the National Explorer Leadership Award of the Boy Scouts of America in 1994; Gold Award of Girl Scouts of the United States of America; Who's Who in American High School Students, 1992 and 1993; Iowa's Governor's Youth Leadership Award, 1991; Silver Volunteer Award, Midwest Old Settlers and Threshers Association, 1993; and the Young Womanhood Recognition Award, her church's youth award, 1993. In 1993 she was selected by the Boy Scouts of America to present Scouting's Report to the Nation to President Bill Clinton. In 1989, she was a delegate to the first National Children's Day in Washington, DC. She served as a page in the 74th Session of the Iowa House of Representatives and was active in many clubs and organizations, including Explorer Post 1846 and Post 911, Iowa Model Legislature, Girl Scout Troop 199, and was a D.A.R.E. peer speaker and adviser.
Marjorie Ann Poggemiller was born in Burlington. She married Richard Collier Sr. They had two children.
Marjorie and Richard Collier's son, Richard Doyle Collier Jr., was born in Washington, Washington County, Iowa. He married Pamela Briggs and their children are Dilan Wayne and Justin Lee, both of whom were born in Washington, Iowa.
Marjorie and Richard Collier's son, Jonathan William Orville Collier, born in Washington, Iowa. He married Frances Anne Wathen. Frances was born on March 16, 1971 and died on June 16, 1987 in Washington, Iowa, at age 16. They had one child, Tyson Anne, who is known as Alexandra Seaman. After Frances Anne died, Tyson was adopted by Anne's half sister and her name was changed to Alexandra Seaman.
Jonathan next had a child with Janie Bailey, Keegan Jonathan Bailey.
Marjorie next married Larry Colton, and later married Sydney Adron Wirth in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. Sydney was born in Waukomis, Garfield County, Oklahoma.
Glenna Marie Poggemiller was born in Burlington, Iowa. She married Wayne Lee Dearth. Glenna next married Leo Eugene Bishop. They had one child, Dawn Angelic, who was born in Washington, Washington County, Iowa.
Glenna next married Eugene Raymond Slater.
Glenna was in a common law marriage with Bill Carriker. He died in April 1994 and was buried in Conesville, Muscatine County, Iowa.
Glenna next married Jerry Dean Skains in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. Jerry was born on August 2, 1954 in California.
Pamela Sue Poggemiller married Phillip Terpenning. They had one child, Kimberly Sue, who was born in Washington, Iowa. Kimberly and Cyle Geertz had one child, Cody Allen Geertz, who was born in Iowa City. Kimberly next met Brian S. McCracken. Brian was born on December 6, 1971, died in an automobile accident in Muscatine, Iowa during Memorial Day weekend at age 22 in May 1994. Brian was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Burlington. He and Kimberly had one child, Mackenzie Rae McCracken, who was born in Muscatine. Kimberly also married Eric Todd Jones, who was born in Muscatine, the wedding being in Muscatine. They had one child, Nash Aric Jones, who was born in Muscatine, Iowa.
Pamela next married Paul Edward Elshoff. They had two children, Allison Rae and Kenneth Paul Elshoff, both of whom were born in Washington, Iowa.
Allison Rae Elshoff married Frank Eric Tadd Gusta in Muscatine; he was born in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, Iowa to Kathy Curry and Harry Tate, and was later adopted by his mother's later husband, Jimmy Gusta. Frank and Allison had one child, Frankie Rae Gusta, born in Cedar Rapids.
Pamela Poggemiller next married Kenneth Alan Ramer in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada. Kenneth was born on November 20, 1950, died on May 27, 1999, at age 48, and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine County, Muscatine, Iowa.
William Henry Poggemiller was born in Burlington. He married Janice Carolyn Seifers in Muscatine, Muscatine County, Iowa.They had one child, Jennifer Kate Poggemiller.
Jennifer was born in Muscatine. She married David Eugene Walker, who was born in Iowa City. They had one child, Tysin Marie Walker.
William next married Rosalind Marie Danay in Muscatine.They had two children, Sara Elizabeth Poggemiller, and Eric Glenn Poggemiller, both of whom were born in Muscatine.
Alan Gene Poggemiller was born in Burlington. He married Wanda Jean Dewitt. Their child was Judy Jean Poggemiller, who was born in Washington, Washington County, Iowa.
Kathy Rae Poggemiller was born in Burlington. She married Mark Begey Sr. in Wapello. He is the son of John Patrick Begey and Alleyne Marie Meyer. Mark was born in Muscatine, Iowa. They had two children, Mark Begey Jr., and Kiley Renae Begey, both of whom were born in Burlington and attend school in the Wapello School District.

Gene Howard Bernhart, who lives in Burlington, married Doris Jean Bowman in Burlington. She was the daughter of Donald G. Bowman Sr. and Ruby Alberta Saldeen. Doris, who had a twin sister, Delores "Dee" (Bowman) Ruble, was born on July 12, 1951 in Burlington, died at age 49 on November 8, 2000 in Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, and was buried on November 11, 2000 in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. She was a 1969 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a homemaker, and worked as a cabdriver. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She and Gene had three children: Roxanne Marie, Cindy Sue, and Kevin Howard.
Roxanne Marie Bernhart married a man named Garrett and they have a daughter, Marlo Marie. The Garretts live in Mediapolis.
Cindy Sue Bernhart married a man named Bragg, and their children are Marcus Lee Bragg and Miranda Jean Bragg.

Sondra Bernhart married Jesus Jose Blanco, the son of Genaro Blanco and Rafaela Diaz, on December 29, 1966 in Oquawka, Henderson County, Illinois. Jesus was born on November 13, 1946 in Jalisco, Mexico, died at age 55 on December 21, 2001 in Great River Medical Center, West Burlington, and was buried on December 28, 2001 in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. The cause of his death was determined to be effects from exposure to agent orange during the Vietnam War.
Jesus was a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan College. He worked as an iron worker. He was a member of Saints John and Paul Catholic Church, was a volunteer for the Saint Vincent de Paul Food Pantry, was past president of the Human Rights Committee and was a former Democratic party chairman.
Jesus and Sondra, who lived in Burlington, had five children, all of whom except for Monolite also live in Burlington. Their children were: Diego J. Blanco, who married Jane Louise Daly. They have two children, Reece Jesus Blanco and Allisha Louise Blanco; Alando Ray Blanco, who married Dayle Linn Miller, and their child is Janelle Justine Blanco; Monolite Daniel Blanco, who lives in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois. He is married to Rochelle Denise Manassa; Romo Miquel Blanco; and Kabriel Joseph Blanco.
Lavonna May "Bonnie" Bernhart, who lives in Burlington, was born on September 25, 1951 in Iowa. Bonnie married Gary Henderson. They had one child, Cody Henderson. Bonnie next married Ronald Perry Hummer. They had two children, Shawn Damon Hummer and Jody Michael Hummer.
Judy Ann Bernhart was born on May 26, 1955. She married Jerry Lee Huntington, and their two children are Justin Michah Huntington and James Mathew Huntington.
