Philip Howard Dotson was born on October 11, 1918 in Wapello and died at age 70 on June 11, 1989 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, where he'd moved in 1952. Philip married Pauline Ruth Atherton, the daughter of Carl Atherton and Ruth Van Nice, in January of 1942. Pauline, who was a Methodist, was born July 24, 1923 near Sperry, Des Moines County, died at age 75 on December 6, 1998 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona, and was buried on December 10, 1998. She and Philip had three children: Shirley Dotson of Phoenix, who married a man named Clark; Phylis, the wife of a man named Szpyrka. They live in Las Vegas, Nevada; and Penny Dotson, whose husband's last name was Shannon. They live in Georgia.
Mary Jane Dotson was born on July 25, 1921 in Wapello. Mary married Ralph Nelson Scheihing. Ralph was born on April 21, 1918 in Mediapolis, died on August 16, 1992 in Burlington, at age 74, and was buried in Wapello Cemetery. They had two children, Ruth Ann and Alene.
Ruth Ann Scheihing was born in Burlington. She married Robert Ledel Stineman, and next married Eladio Webber, who was born in Donna, Hidalgo County, Texas. Ruth and Robert Stineman had two children, Robert Lance Stineman, who was born January 22, 1964 in Burlington, and died at age 15 June 11, 1979 in Wapello; and Stephanie Ann Stineman, who married James Ray Gipple. Stephanie and James have two daughters, Megan Ann Gipple and Kara Ann Gipple.
Mary Jane and Ralph Scheihing's daughter, Alene Scheihing was born in Burlington, Iowa. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1965. Alene married Phillip Edgar Neas, who was a native of Evanston, Cook County, Illinois. They had two children who were both born in St. Louis, Missouri: Derek Philip Neas and Emily Katherine Neas.
John Calvin Dotson, known as "Jack," was born in Burlington. He graduated from Wapello High School in 1947. Jack married Jeanette Nancie Purdy and they had six children: James Lee, John Thomas, Janice Elaine, Jeffrey Philip, Judy Lynn, and Jane Nancie.
James Lee Dotson was born in Burlington. James married Rosemary Mildred Gant and their two children are Peter John David Dotson and Susannah R. Dotson.
John Thomas Dotson was born in Burlington. He met Barbara Sands whose children are Joshua Daniels Sands, Jacob William Sands, and Anna Maud Sands.
John was married to Deborah Yohe, a 1972 graduate of Mediapolis High School. John and she have four children:
Jeffrey Philip Dotson was born in Burlington, Iowa. He married Jane Marie Kendrick and their children are Kyle Philip Dotson, a 1997 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School; Kari Ann Dotson, and Kelly Lynn Dotson.
Judy Lynn Dotson was born in Burlington, Iowa. She married Chris Eugene Ball, and they had three children: Jonathon Eugene Ball, Bryan Matthew Ball, and Casey Ray Ball.
Jane Nancie Dotson married Doug Wayne Boyer and their four children were:, Kevin Lee Boyer, Curtis Wayne Boyer, Lane Michael Boyer, and Nathan Scott Boyer.
Lee Earl Dotson Jr. was born in Burlington. He married Bonnie Lorraine Eubanks, a native of Wapello. They had two children, Joyce Lynn and Dennis Lee Dotson.
Joyce Lynn Dotson was born in Burlington. She married Thomas Cross and they had two children, Joseph Michael Cross, also born in Burlington. He married Brandi Leigh Licko; and Jason Eric Cross, who was born in Burlington. Joyce Dotson later married Cary Mathes.
Dennis Lee Dotson was born in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona. He married Lynn Turner and they had one child, Tracy Lynn Dotson. Dennis next married Mary Jacobs. They had two children, Denielle Leigh Dotson and Blake Adam Dotson. Dennis also married Tamra Maree Scott, "the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gibson of Morning Sun, Iowa."
