I Andrew Stone this day doo [sic] agree to give Samuel Fortner a deed to the north east quarter of section twenty four 24 township seventy five 75. Range nineteen 19 west.

Kit Woodside Alkana Fox (Marjorie Kimble says the bottom note on the transfer is from Uncle Tom Walker; it reads: "This seems to be a transfer of property in Knoxville, Ia." Whether or not this is in any way related to ancestors of Roy Fortner, who in the next century married Maude Mae Walker, is unknown.) |
