Charles Leander Walker - Short Bio
Charles Leander ("Lee") Walker was born May 8, 1881 to Charles and Ruth Ellen [Fox] Walker, and he died in 1968 in Henry County, Iowa. In 1883 he married Aleta M. Hewitt (December 14, 1890 - December 1982), the daughter of Cyrus F. Hewitt (1859 - 1941) and Mary S. McClure (1860 - 1932).
Lee and Aleta Walker had three children:
- Lester Hewitt Walker, who was born March 21, 1915 and died March 30, 1915 as an infant. Lester is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa.
- Charles Cecil Walker, who was born August 6, 1916 in Iowa and died November 3, 1991 in Virginia. Cecil was married to Rosa, and they had two sons: Charles Walker, and Edward Walker.
- Mary Alice Walker, who married John White. They have a son, Jerry White.
