Jim Walker, born January 19, 1887, was the second youngest child of Charles Pearsey and Ruth Ellen [Fox] Walker (a younger brother, John, died in infancy). Jim was born in Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa. He fought in World War I, returned, was married to Mildred Jane Beauchamp. Millie was born November 26, 1887 and died October 25, 1972. She was married previously to a man named Feldman and had three sons with that marriage.
Jim and Millie had no children, and in about 1933 Jim and Millie were divorced and in 1956 he married Lottie Belle [Kahler] Hawkins, born, October 25, 1886, the widow of William Hawkins in Iowa County, Iowa. Jim and Lottie lived in Marengo, Iowa, from the time of their marriage until Lottie's death September 19, 1964. Lottie had two boys from her first marriage.
At some point during his later years, Jim was a policeman in Winfield, Iowa. He had returned to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, after Lottie's death, and he had a stroke there in August of 1973, and died at the beginning of September. His funeral was September 3 of that year, on Labor Day. Jim is buried in the North Summer Cemetery, in Ladora, Iowa County, Iowa.
