Eleanor [Walker] Allen - Short Bio
Eleanor Walker (sometimes called "Elender" was the daughter of George and Julian Jean (Julia Ann) Welsh (Welch) of Pennsylvania/Knox County Tennessee. It is believed Elenor was born in Pennsylvania in about 1794, but this time coincides about with the family's move to Knox County, Tennessee. By about 1810-1815 the Walkers again moved to Indiana, and there Elenor married Thomas Allen (born about 1790 in Tennessee) on December 28, 1820, in Wayne County.
Presently no further lineage of the Allens is known. "The Allens" were mentioned in a letter Elenor's nephew, Leander Walker, wrote in 1861 to his father, Francis Samuel Walker (Elenor's younger brother), when Leander moved back to Milton, Indiana, after a period of time in Iowa.
