Donald Ross Walker - Short Bio

Donald Ross Walker was the son of [Albert] Ross and Vinnie Walker. He and his first wife, Charlotte Mary [Vogt] Walker, had two children: Katherine Ann Walker and Donald Ross Walker (Jr.). Donald later married Carol Anne O'Keefe.

Donald's daughter, Katherine Ann, married Gary Donald Miller of Johnstown, Fulton County, New York, and they have two children: Tauoja Lea Miller and Christopher Todd Miller (who was born in Iznir, Turkey!).

Donald's son, Donald (Jr.), was born in Glens Falls, New York.

Donald (Sr.) was born December 1, 1922 on his parents' farm south of Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa, and he died September 17, 2000, in Schenectady, Schenectady County, New York. He was in the U.S. Maritime Service from 1943 to 1946, then worked for Finch Pyrum Paper Company. In 1956 he began a career as a police officer, working for the Glens Falls, New York, police department until 1970 when he began working as a Traffic Supervisor for the New York Thruway Authority.
