Aleta [Hewitt] Walker - Short Bio

Aleta Walker was Lee [Charles Leander] Walker's (May 8, 1881 - October 1968) wife. She was born December 14, 1890 to Cyrus F. Hewitt (1859 - 1941) and Mary S. McClure (1860 - 1932).

Aleta and Lee Walker had three children:

• Lester Hewitt Walker, who was born March 21, 1915 and died March 30, 1915 as an infant. Lester is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa.
• Charles Cecil Walker, who was born August 6, 1916 in Iowa and died November 3, 1991 in Virginia. Cecil was married to Rosa, and they had two sons: Charles Walker, and Edward Walker.
• Mary Alice Walker, who married John White. They have a son, Jerry White.

Aleta died in December, 1968 in Crawfordsville, Washington County, Iowa, where she and Lee lived in a home just east of US highway 218, much of their adult lives. Lee and Aleta Walker are buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa.
