William Henry Rexroat - Short Bio
William Henry Rexroat, the son of James Morris Rexroat and Susannah Jane Moyers, was born on December 10, 1859 in McDonough County, Illinois and died on May 15, 1917. William married Mary F. Landis, a native of Schuyler County, Illinois, on November 10, 1881 (or possibly October 10, 1880) in McDonough County. Mary was born on September 21, 1862 and died on May 5, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri.
William and Mary's children were:
- Everett Arthur Rexroat, who was born on February 3, 1883 in Scotland Township, McDonough County, Illinois and died on December 10, 1966.
- Bertha Sarah Rexroat, who was born on August 10, 1886 in Saline County, Nebraska and died in Kansas City. Bertha married James Garfield Kirkpatrick on May 24, 1905 in Saline County, Nebraska. James was born on December 26, 1879 in Macomb, Illinois, died on November 29, 1966 in Nevada, Vernon County, Missouri, and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb, Illinois. Bertha and James had two sons: Dale Melvin Kirkpatrick Sr., who was born on April 29, 1908 in Macomb, Illinois and died on March 18, 1971 in Leavenworth, Leavenworth County, Kansas; and Clarence Lane Kirkpatrick, who married Mary Gilkerson.
Bertha S. Rexroat also married Jonathan Bourke. Her son, Dale, married Parma Dixon Leinbach, the daughter of (? Leinbach) and ? McKennon. Parma was born on July 1, 1908 in Onaga, Pottawatomie County, Kansas and died in July 1987 in Fresno County, California. Dale and Parmas' children were a stillborn infant; David Melvin Kirkpatrick Jr., who married Barbara Nevon Wyatt (and had three children); and Rosemary Bertha Kirkpatrick.
