Marshal E. Pearsey - Short Bio

Marshal E. Pearsey was born on December 28, 1894 in Rushville, Indiana to George and Mary (Boblett) Pearsey. He was raised by his oldest sister Daisy and her husband Charles Black. Marshal worked for the Park Furniture Company as a cabinet maker. He later worked at the Innis Pierce Furniture Company. In 1948, he served as vice-president of the Upholsterers and Furniture Workers Union, Local 186.
A Red Cross worker in Rushville in 1918, he was a life long bachelor. Marshal was a fisherman and an avid coin collector. He lived at 217 N. Spencer St. with Daisy Black and later, her daughter Irene McDaniel. Marshal entered Rush Memorial Hospital on June 24, 1968 and died there at 9 a.m. July 14th. A member of the Main Street Christian Church of Rushville, he is buried in East Hill [Indiana].
