Lucy Moyers was born on February 12, 1873, the second child of George W. E. and Rebecca Ellen [Pence] Moyers, and she died January 12, 1958 at the Harmony Nursing Home, Mediapolis, Des Moines County, Iowa. Mary Lucy married George Workman Dotson, who was born November 16, 1867, on December 24, 1891; he preceded her in death by almost 38 years on February 16, 1920. George and Mary Dotson had six children and many descendants:

• Lee Earl Dotson (September 22, 1892 in Wapello, Louisa County - February 02, 1970 in Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa), married to Marian Cecil Green (April 06, 1897 in Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa - August 06, 1987 in Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa). Lee and Marian are buried in the Wapello Cemetery, Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa. They had the following children:
  • Philip Howard Dotson (October 11, 1918 in Wapello, Louisa County, Iowa - June 11, 1989 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona), married to Pauline Ruth Atherton (July 24, 1923 in near Sperry, Des Moines County, Iowa - December 06, 1998 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona). The marriage was January 1942. Philip and Pauline had 3 daughters: Shirley, Phylis, and Penny Dotson.
  • Mary Jane Dotson, who married Ralph Nelson Scheihing (April 21, 1918 in Mediapolis, Des Moines County, Iowa - August 16, 1992 in Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa. Ralph is buried in Wapello Cemetery. Mary and Ralph had two children:
    • Ruth Ann Scheihing, who married Robert Ledel Stineman and had two children:
