Lottie Bernice [Moyers] Pilling - Short Bio

Lottie Moyers was the daughter of Pearl and Jessie Mae Moyers. She was one of four children in the family, her siblings being David Earl ("Earl") Moyers, Frances Willard [Moyers] Harrison, and Floyd Alfred Moyers.

Lottie married Charles Earl ("Jack") Pilling, Jr., of Des Moines County, Iowa February 28, 1923. He was born December 31, 1900 and died in April of 1982. Lottie died in 1988.

Lottie and Charles Pilling had the following children:

• Ray Wayne Pilling was born on February 20, 1929, died on June 7, 1989 and was buried in Kossuth Cemetery, Des Moines County, Iowa. Another name Ray was known by was R. W. Pilling. Ray married Mary Alice Harsh. Children from this marriage were:
  • Allison Rae Pilling, who married Donald Ray Klein.
  • Constance Joanne Pilling, who was born on May 6, 1953 in Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa, died on May 3, 1995 in Grundy Center, Grundy County, Iowa and was buried in Hudson Cemetery, Hudson, Black Hawk County, Iowa. Connie married Harold Whitsell in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Children from this marriage were: (?) Whitsell, Susan Whitsell, and Kristine Whitsell.
  • Charles Russell Pilling.
  • James Ernest Pilling.
  • William Wayne Pilling was born July 15, 1959, died May 7, 1974 and was buried in Kossuth Cemetery, Des Moines County, Iowa.
  • Paul Fredric Pilling.
  • Julie Janette Pilling.
• Vera Mae Pilling, who married John Wayne Weyer. They had three children: Judith Kay, Stephen Leon (who married Carolyn Nancy Truitt), and John Charles (who married Marion Ruth Lawson).

Lottie and Charles Pilling are both buried at Kossuth Cemetery east of Mediapolis in Des Moines County, Iowa.
