Lillian B. [Moyers] Giertz - Short Bio

Lilly Moyers, the daughter of Jacob N. Moyers and Emma E. Swank, was born in about 1879. Her mother died February 6, 1880, so possibly that was childbirth related and Lilly's birthday may have been near that date. Lillian married Henry W. Giertz on June 18, 1902 in Mediapolis, Des Moines County, Iowa; Rev. Smith officiated at the wedding. They had a daughter, Margaret E. Giertz. Margaret sent postcards and greeting cards to a cousin between about 1910 and 1920 from Joliet, Illinois, which is evidently where the Giertz family settled.
