David Earl ("Earl") Moyers - Short Bio

(David) Earl Moyers, the son of Pearl Alfred Moyers and Jessie Mae Swan, was born on October 19, 1898 in Mediapolis, Des Moines County, Iowa and died in January 1981 in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa.

Earl married Dorothy Mae Baird, the daughter of Thomas Anderson Baird and Cora May Congrove, on September 20, 1919 in Newport, Louisa County, Iowa. The marriage ended in divorce in July 1957. Dorothy was born on January 9, 1899 in Newport, Louisa County, Iowa, died on June 28, 1970 in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa and was buried in Elmwood Cemetery, near Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa. Dorothy worked as a seamstress for J. S. Schramm Company, Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa.

They had three children:

Dorothy Louise Moyers was born and died on September 16, 1923 in Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa.

Phyllis Marie Moyers married William Adrian White and they had four children: Sherilyn Marie, Robert Earl, James Richard, and William Adrian White.
