Ode Marshall's father, Gilbert C. Marshall (known as "Gib") married Opal Pauline Baird, the daughter of Thomas Anderson Baird and Cora May Congrove. Elwood was one of three children born to them. He married Beverly Jean Broeker, the daughter of Wally and Ruth [Walker] Broeker. Ode and Bev have two children, Karen Hutchison and Jim Marshall.
