Alice Elaine Marshall, the daughter of David Ira Marshall and Margaret Elizabeth White, was born on June 28, 1923 in New London, Henry County, Iowa died on June 11, 1982 in Mediapolis, Des Moines County, Iowa, at age 58, and was buried in Kossuth Cemetery, Des Moines County, Iowa. The cause of her death was a brain tumor. Alice Marshall married Glenn William Poggemiller June 3, 1946 in New London. He was the son of Henry Leroy Poggemiller and Anna Eliza Augusta Sheppard. Glenn was born on May 30, 1919 in Pleasant Grove, Des Moines County, Iowa, died on October 15, 1990 in Iowa City at age 71. He was also buried in Kossuth Cemetery. They had six children: Marjorie Ann Wirth (Sydney), Glenna Marie Skains (Jerry), Pamela Sue Ramer, William Henry Poggemiller, Alan Gene Poggemiller, and Kathy Rae Begey (Mark).
