Bert James Larkin, the son of James Wilbur Larkin and Sarah Elizabeth Moyers, was born on May 9, 1879 in Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa, died on September 6, 1923 and was buried in Fort Scott, Bourban County, Kansas. Bert married Ethel L. McAllister on May 15, 1907 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. Ethel was born on March 13, 1884 in Fort Scott, Bourban County, Kansas, died on October 4, 1969 and was buried in Fort Scott, Bourban County, Kansas. They had three children:
- Kenneth Hoyt Larkin was born on March 21, 1908 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri and died on April 15, 1973. Kenneth married Jeannette Vera Willing. Jeannette was born on October 12, 1909 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri and died on April 11, 1992. They had three children: Bert K., Larry, and Bruce Larkin, who married Dorothea Ellen O'Neill and has two children: Amy Elizabeth and April Ann.
