Judge Leander R. Lakin - Short Bio
Leander R. Lakin was the son of Elizabeth Myers and Jordan Albert Lakin. He was born and lived in Greene County, Illinois; was a judge in that county. He married Henrietta Sayles Brace on November 28, 1874 in Greene County and had at least five children: Leela Lakin, who was born December 1875, and died August 1877. Leela is buried in the Carrollton Cemetery, Greene County, Illinois; also Jordan Lakin; Eliza Lakin; Emily Lakin; and Jesse Lakin.
