(Jennie) Samantha Jane [Gregory] Swan - Short Bio

Jennie Swan was the daughter of David and Marietta [Umphrey] Gregory. She was born May 8, 1861 in Louisa County, Iowa, and died February 10, 1918 in Mediapolis, Iowa. Jennie married George Laury Swan (June 14, 1859 - November 18, 1920), a native of Morning Sun, Iowa, on September 8, 1880 in Morning Sun. They had seven children:

• Lillie Swan (1874 - abt 1959/1961). She was married to C. M. Johnson.
• Maude L. Swan (1882 - 1969). Maude married Earl E. Owens, who was born in 1879 and died in 1968. She an he are both buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa.
• Jessie Mae Swan, born November 20, 1882 in Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa died January 17, 1958 in Morning Sun, Louisa County, Iowa. Jessie married Pearl Alfred Moyers (December 12, 1875 - June 4, 1964). Jessie and Pearl had four children: David Earl Moyers, Floyd Alfred Moyers, Lottie Bernice [Moyers] Pilling, and Frances Willard [Moyers] Harrison.
• Cora Bell Swan, born August 28, 1885 and died April 1, 1888. Cora is buried at Elwood Cemetery.
• Letha Swan, who married a man named Brekke.
• Ona Swan, who married V. E. Nordstrom. They had at least one child, an infant who was born and died December 20, 1924.
• Paul Swan

Jennie and George Swan are also buried in Elmwood Cemetery.
