      Carl Walker Rites Monday

      Carl Vaughn Walker, 66, died at his home in South Wapello Friday morning following a heart attack. The son of Charles and Jessie Vaughn Walker, he was born October 12, 1900, at Newport. He married Clara Criger in Muscatine.

      Mr. Walker was a member of the Open Bible Church at Muscatine. He is survived by his widow; brothers, Frank I. Walker of Wapello and Earl Walker of Crawfordsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Byron Earnest (Ernst) of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Ethel Patterson of Altoona, Washington.

      Funeral services were held Monday, February 27 at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral home, with the Reverend Albert Janzen of the Open Bible church in Muscatine officiating. Mrs. Phyllis McCulley was organist and singer was Mrs. Lorna [?].

    • Wapello (IA) -- Carl Vaughn Walker, 66, died at 9 a.m. today following a heart attack at his home in Wapello.

      The son of Charles and Jessie Vaughn Walker, he was born on October 12, 1900, at Newport. He married Clara Criger in Muscatine.

      He was a member of the Open Bible church in Muscatine. Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Frank W. Walker of Wapello and Earl Walker of Crawfordsville, and two sisters, Mrs. Byron Earnest (sic) of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Ethel Patterson of Altona, Washington.

      Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Dudgeon McCulley funeral home in Wapello with Reverend Albert Jansen of the Open Bible church in Musca- tine officiating. Interment will be at the Wapello cemetery.

      Friends may call at the Dudgeon McCulley funeral home in Wapello.
