      This indenture, made this eighth day of September, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty-two, between Joseph Walker and Barbara, his wife, of the County of Randolph and State of Virginia, of the one part and George Teter and Jacob Conrad of the County of Pendleton and Sate aforesaid of the other part.

      WITNESSETH: That the Joseph Walker and Barbara, his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and Eighty-nine Dollars, to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, had granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and by these presents, do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm to the said George Teter and Jacob Conrad, their heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract or parcel of land, situation, lying and being in the County of Randolph and State of Virginia, on the waters of the Laurel Fork Cheat River; being a tract or parcel of land surveyed for Jacob Shock the bearing date the 29th day of August, 1792, and bounded as followeth, to-wit, Beginning at a sugar tree on the side of the mountain running thence North 66 W 100 poles to a small spruce and hemlock sapling; thence South 24 W 264 poles to a sugar on a flat; S51 E 80 poles to a sugar on the side of the mountain; N 25½ E 531 poles to the beginning, CONTAINING TWO HUNDRED AND EIGHTY-NINE ACRES.

      TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described tract or parcel of land with the appurtenances to the said George Teter and Jacob Conrad their heirs and assigns forever; and the said Joseph Walker and Barbara, his wife, for their heirs aforesaid, for themselves, their heirs & do hereby covenant to and with the said George Teter and Jacob Conrad their heirs and assigns that they the said Joseph Walker and Barbara, his wife, the above described tract or parcel of land with the appurtenances to the said George Teter and Jacob Conrad, their heirs and assigns, shall and will warrant and forever defend against all persons and claims whatsoever.

      We, Michael Hinckle and Jesse Hinckle Justices of Peace, in the County of Pendleton in the State of Virginia, do hereby certify that Joseph Walker, a party to a certain deed bearing date on the 7th day of September, 1832, and hereunto annexed, personally appeared before us in our said county aforesaid, and acknowledged the name to be his act and deed and desired us to certify to the Clerk of the County of Randolph in order that the said deed may be recorded. Given under our hands and seals, the 8th day of September, 1832

      Pendleton County, to-wit:
      We, Michael Hinckle and Jesse Hinckle, Justices of the Peace, for the County of Pendleton in the State of Virginia, do hereby certify that Barbary Walker, the wife of Joseph Wsalker, this day bargained, sold and by these presents, doth bargain, sel, alien and confirm unto the said George Teter, his heirs or assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land containing ninety-three acres lying and being in the county of Randolph, on the waters of the Dry Fork, and bounded as followeth, to-wit:

      Beginning at two spruce pine trees within half a mile of said fork and running thence south sixty degrees West one hundred and fourteen poles to a white walnut, beech and haw tree; South twenty degrees East forty poles to a beech and ironwood; South eighty-three degrees East one hundred and fifty-four poles to the beginning, with its appurtenances.

      TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said tract of land with its appurtenances to the said George Teter, his heirs and assigns; Now the said Joseph Walker and Barbary, his wife, doth warrant and defend the said title, to said land against all persons whatsoever.

    A number of years ago I found this Walker family coat of arms online. A Google check in November 2010 shows a more ornate and colorful one, but the high quality version is $9.99. I'll pass on that.
