    • Lowell (IA) -- Mrs. Anna Ada Thornburg, 80, Lowell, died at 3:45 a.m. Monday, July 14, at New London Care Center.

      She was born August 18, 1899, in Henry county to Myron and Josephine Duke Berry, and married Lloyd Thornburg December 21, 1916, in New London.

      Mrs. Thornburg was a member of the Lowell Baptist church, Dorcas society, and the Get-Together club. Surviving: The husband; seven sons, LaVerne, Danville, Myron, Keosauqua, Thomas, Oakville, Dale and Edward, both of Bonaparte, Harold, Farmington, and Duane, Burlington; two brothers, Herbert Berry, Springfield, Illinois, and Willie Berry, New London; 35 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

      Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Elliott Chapel in New London, the Reverend Ian Armstrong; Burge cemetery.

      A memorial to the Lowell Baptist church has been established.
