    The Hawk Eye 
    • Linda L. Dearth, 65, of Morning Sun, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, in Wapello.

      Born September 22, 1944, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Lloyd Gene and Marie Elizabeth Randoll Dearth.

      Ms. Dearth worked more than 30 years for Thatcher Plastics in Muscatine and delivered The Hawk Eye for several years. She was a graduate of Morning Sun High School. She attended United Methodist Church in Morning Sun.

      Survivors include, two brothers, Donald Dearth of Morning Sun and Wayne Dearth of Fort Myers, Florida; two sisters, Frances Thacker of Muscatine and Phyllis Marlette of Stafford, Missouri; nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. No visitation is planned. The body will be cremated.

      The graveside memorial service for Ms. Dearth will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun with the Reverend Scott Smith officiating.

      Memorials have been established for the American Cancer Fund and the Diabetes Association. Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun is in charge of arrangements.
