    • CONGORILLA BEATS HANSON
Takes Two Out of Three Falls
      -Henry Kolln Pins Clark Gulick

Congorilla Seals, 196 pound rough-and-tumble wrestler from Centerville, Iowa, nearly met his match in Roughhouse Nelson, Toronto, Canada, 192, in George Earl's wrestling show at Military hall last night, but emerged the victor.

Here was no typical hero and villain affair--they both are of the villain type and resorted to biting and eye gouging at the slightest provocation, also listing hair pulling in their category of purported talents.

This was the main go of the show and also the opening match, as George Finning of Kansas City and Buck Davidson of Omaha failed to appear for the second half of the billed "double feature."

Seals took the first fall in 16 minutes with a body pin which followed a series of body slams, leaving Nelson all but unconscious on the mat.

The second fall was won by Nelson in 10 minutes with a crotch hold, which he applied after slamming Seals to the floor.

The third fall was won by Seals with a body slam after five minutes of fast rough-and-tumble work, featured by the Iowan's rabbit punches to Nelson's neck.

      Kolln Beats Gulick.

Henry Kolln of Muscatine offered to wrestle "anyone in the house" in lieu of the other match. He promised to "throw any man in the house in 10 minutes," and Clark Gulick, 170 pounds, offered to take on Kolln, who weighs 157. It took Kolln 7 minutes, 30 seconds, five blows to the stomach and two eye gouges to pin Gulick to the mat with a body slam.

Gulick made an excellent showing in "straight wrestling" intervals, however, and the fans want him on a future program.

Promoter Earl said arrangements are being made to hold next week's mat show in the downtown section, with at least two nationally famous wrestling figures competing.

Miss Juanita Hansen, who is appearing at the Rialto theater Thursday and Friday, was introduced from the ringside as an avid wrestling fan. A stage and screen star, she became a wrestling enthusiast when the sport first was catching on in Hollywood.
